How to get a card
:
Anyone living in Lawrence County may apply for a free library card.  Please present verification of your current address. Children under 18 must have their application signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Persons living outside of Lawrence County may obtain a family library card for $25.00 per year.

After School Break: Children of all ages are welcome to join our Tuesday and Wenseday afternoon program of stories, crafts and games.  The program lasts from 3:30 - 5:00.  Visitors to Deadwood are welcome to bring their children. Click here for a calendar of these events.

DEADWOOD READERS' CLUB: Adult readers are welcome to attend the meetings of this book discussion group which meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the library.  A wide variety of books and themes are discussed, all of which are selected by the readers themselves. Did you know?  The Deadwood Public Library as it exists today was founded in 1895 by the Round Table Club, a ladies' literary group.  The Round Table Club, like the library, is still going strong today!
